ICDL – The Digital Skills Standard is the brand identity of the most widespread digital skills certification standard, known locally as ECDL.The new brand identity and the new ICDL certification modules, which are also gradually entering Romania, will help to ensure the digital skills needs of students, employees and professionals throughout Europe, at a time when technologies are developing faster than ever.The ICDL Foundation is an international organization dedicated to developing digital skills standards in the workforce, education and society at large.Certification programs, offered through an active global network, enable individuals and organizations to assess, develop and certify computer and other digital tool skills based on the globally recognized ICDL standard.ICDL’s quality and reputation are built on more than 20 years of experience in providing certification programs in 40 languages ​​spoken around the world.ICDL’s success is based on continuous innovation in certification program development, commitment to rigorous testing methodologies, and consistent adherence to ICDL quality standards.ICDL is an exemplary implementation of DigComp (The European Digital Competence Framework) and DigCompEdu (for teachers), being the international standard for Digital Competences that most fully aligns with European reference frameworks, as identified by the JRC (Joint Research Center – Science and Knowledge Service of the European Commission) and UNESCO reports.In recent years, ICDL certification has become flexible, offering the possibility for each candidate / organization to develop personalized ICDL Profiles, suited to the needs of each one’s academic or professional career.In addition, the portfolio has been constantly updated with new modules, keeping up with new technologies: Computing (Python programming), Digital Marketing, Online Collaboration, Teamwork, IT Security (Cyber), Information Literacy, Financial Spreadsheets, 3D Pringting, Insights (introduction to AI, Cloud, IoT, etc.).

The National Union of Romanian Employers (UNPR) is constituted as a non-governmental, non-profit, non-political organization, which includes companies from the private sector with full Romanian, mixed or only foreign capital.It was established in 1991, being the first Employers’ Confederation registered in Romania.UNPR is a union of employers’ federations, with its own patrimony and legal personality.Apart from the county branches, UNPR also includes professional associations from various fields of activity, representing branches and sub-branches of the national economy.The purpose of the Union is to represent, promote and defend the interests of its members, especially small and medium-sized companies.Going through a deep restructuring process, UNPR presents itself today as the most active and dynamic employers’ confederation in Romania, being present in 24 counties of the country with member companies from all economic fields.The 18 commissions ensure the real, professional presence of UNPR in the business environment and beyond, being, practically, the laboratories where the confederation’s strategies related to the entire economic, social, cultural and political life of Romania are born.The 30 years of existence of the UNPR entitle the Union to assume the leading role of coagulation and dynamization of the employers’ movement in Romania.ATIC signed a protocol with UNPR to make a common front in actions and to work together in working groups and technical commissions, on different fields of interest.The main objectives of the partnership are centered on several directions:– Implementation of joint projects that leverage the skills and expertise of the members of the two organizations- Pursuing and fulfilling the missions and interests of UNPR and ATIC members, through close collaborations and coordinated actions, both in the country and abroad.Joint actions in Singapore and Malaysia are a very good step before collaboration.- Promoting the professional development of members through training programs, workshops and other educational activities and increasing skills.– Common front in lobbying actions at government level to protect the interests of industries and members.
The Romanian Agency for Investments and Foreign Trade (ARICE) aims to attract foreign direct and portfolio investments in Romania, promote foreign trade, including Romanian services, exclusively in the field of tourism, as well as follow up Romanian investments abroad.The organization is subordinated to the Government and coordinated by the Prime Minister.The financing of the Agency is ensured from the state budget, through the budget of the General Secretariat of the Government.The main objectives of the Agency are:a) initiates and coordinates the development of policies, strategies and programs in the fields of foreign trade, attracting foreign investments in Romania and tracking Romanian investments abroad, collaborating with ministries and central and local public administration authorities, in accordance with the country’s priorities and economic development program.In this sense, the Agency initiates, elaborates and promotes drafts of normative acts, coordinates and controls their application in the coordinated fields and approves the drafts of normative acts of other specialized bodies of the central public administration, with impact in the fields of its responsibility;b) Initiates, coordinates and ensures the control of activities to promote foreign investments in Romania and foreign trade, as well as follow-up Romanian investments abroad, in order to:- the expansion of operations to stimulate direct, domestic and foreign investments, in industry, services, scientific research, technological development and innovation, with indirect effects in regional development and the creation of new jobs;- the development of foreign trade, the intensification of external economic diplomacy and commercial-investment promotion of Romania abroad;- increasing Romanian exports and balancing Romania’s trade balance;- stimulating the internationalization of Romanian companies.c) Collaborate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other institutions and entities with responsibilities in the field of exports and foreign investments, in order to promote and support foreign trade activities, attract investments in the Romanian economy and support the investment interests of the Romanian business environment.d) ensures the follow-up of Romanian investments abroad.ATIC together with ARICE organizes representation events at trade fairs and economic missions in countries around the world.
